Money

The local currency is not wanted by anyone, so don’t waste your time converting. Do not bother with bringing money-dollar/sterling/euro, but then you just have to be very careful not to lose it via stolen. Most people in Cambodia prefer US $, even at the shopping centers and specially the girls. But it’s a good idea to carry some thousand riels in your wallet for taxi drivers and other small purchases. ANZ Bank has ATM machines now and plenty of Western Unions to handle all your Travel cheques and Visa, It is not convenient to carry travels cheques in Cambodia. ExchRate for them is not financially rewarding.
